Crows Nest Former North Shore Gas Co. Office

We were recently featured in an article on urban.com.au regarding a development proposal for 290 Pacific Highway, Crows Nest.

Engaged by PDS, we worked collaboratively with Fuse Architects and Urbis to prepare an Urban Design Report in support of the 14 storey mixed use development which retains and adaptively re-uses the heritage listed Former North Shore Gas Co. Office building.

The site is situated in an urban block bound by Shirley Street to the north, Bruce Street to the south, Pacific Highway to the east and Sinclair Street to the west, which forms part of the Five

Ways intersection, where Pacific Highway, Shirley Road, Willoughby Road and Falcon Street converge. It is an important local landmark and defines the southern gateway to the St Leonards Crows Nest Precinct.

The proposed redevelopment forms part of the wider urban renewal of Crows Nest, catalysed by the future Crows Nest Metro Station and the release of the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment’s St Leonards and Crows Nest 2036 Plan.
