The Greater Sydney Commission’s A Metropolis of Three Cities – The Greater Sydney Region Plan was released in 2018 and establishes a vision, directions and objectives for managing growth in the over the next 40 years. It focuses on Ten Directions, within a framework focused on liveability, productivity and sustainability.
We were engaged by the Greater Sydney Commission to distil and package key liveability, productivity, and sustainability data into a suitable format to assist Councils in implementing the relevant District Plans.
The process involved undertaking a spatial data audit, providing recommendations and assistance in coordinating GIS and data specialists, and preparation of approximately 200 maps. Summary District Plan documents were also prepared for each Local Government Area (33).
On behalf of the Commission, we also produced mapping and graphics for the Aerotropolis and Western City Deal, and were further appointed to assist with Place Infrastructure Compacts and the development of place scale metrics.
